Terms of Use

XML Validator is a free, privacy-first XML validation tool operated by WebF1, LLC ("we", "us", "WebF1"). By using this service you agree to the terms below. The service is provided free of charge.

1. The service

XML Validator lets you check whether an XML document is well-formed and validate it against a DTD or an XSD schema. All validation happens entirely in your browser. The service has no backend that receives your file content and no database that stores it.

2. Acceptable use

  • You may use XML Validator to validate XML, DTD, and XSD content that you have the right to process.
  • You may not use the service to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the server's jurisdiction, including but not limited to content that infringes intellectual property, violates privacy laws, or facilitates harm.
  • You may not attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or the infrastructure that hosts it.

3. Validation output

XML Validator reports whether your XML is valid and lists any errors found. The tool does not modify your input except when you explicitly request a pretty-printed view. You are responsible for reviewing and interpreting the validation results in the context of your own documents and schemas.

4. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure in all circumstances, or that every valid or invalid document will be reported correctly in every edge case.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebF1, LLCshall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the service. Because the service is provided at no cost, our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (i.e. zero).

6. Data handling

XML Validator does not upload or store your imported XML, DTD, or XSD content. File content is processed in-memory in your browser and is not written to local storage by default. We do not require accounts and do not collect personal data. See the privacy page for details.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
